Fuck this.

I really liked the first one, but this one... I am simply not the right crowd for it.

There isn't any reason to see Mean Girls 2, as Mean Girls still exists. The characters have little depth and almost no motivation, the story isn't surprising if you've seen the original, and most of the jokes are replays of the ones seen in the first film. The acting isn't all that good, although it was nice to see some Disney stars taking on more mature and realistic roles. There isn't much reason for this film to exist, except cash-in on the Mean Girls name. Don't let it draw you in.

I feel like you have to actively try to create a film as bad as this one 'cause I think it's literally just easier to make something better, so hats off to them for going all out on the trash department.

I mean, it's got incredibly dumb moments throughout and it can't beat the original. But it's basically what you expect it to be. An ABC Family version of the original Mean Girls. It's cute. It's not a masterpiece. It's... just cute.

The reason this is rated so low is: It's just super bad. You cannot even pretend this is even a little bit good. Mean Girls was iconically bad, it elaborated on a lot of cliches and is a lot of fun to watch. It feels intentional! This however....

Tipik gençlik filmi. Temposu yüksek, iyi bir kurgusu ve başarılı sahneleri var, sıkılmadan kendini izlettiriyor. Belirtmek lazım serinin ilk filmi çok daha iyiydi.

bad movie

Huh, people really, really hate this one. I think I might just be in a super generous mood when it comes to rating stuff, but I found it to be aggressively average across the board. (Except for its flat and low-effort jokes. Still, they were delivered quickly and without pretension, and weren't driven into the ground) It was competently edited, had a relatively wide collection of 'likable enough' characters, and the acting was fine (except for Quinn. She was real bad). Bland, but inoffensive.

Nothing really like the original, but as a stand alone film, good enough.

A lazy, cheap, and derivative semi-remake of the original that drops the subtlety of the war against the Plastics and just reduces things to, more or less, a series of practical jokes. The slightly acidic message of the original is lost too, and the film begs for Tina Fey to give the script a once-over. Or a ten-times-over, or maybe just to burn it. To give credit where it's due, there is one good line: "There's no nunchucks in football!"

Fails to live up to the original.

If the movie was like the first half or so, this would be one of the worst movies ever. At about the halfway mark, it becomes tolerable, a little funnier and a little more emotional. Sure, it's a shitty version of the first Mean Girls (which was pretty funny), but at least it redeems itself a little bit. The principal was hilarious though, so it's nice to see that there's at least one awesome character in a crappy movie. Don't bother with this.
