This was a really fun show! I'm really mad that Netflix canceled this. There was so much potential for stories they could have created with this team. We need more shows that don't take themselves too seriously and don't shy away from being sexy and fun.

I wouldn't be shocked if you told me the head writer is 16 years old. Some of the humor lands, but most of it is beyond juvenile, which is a big claim coming from me who's usually into this style of humor. The actors gave it their best, the action sequences go waaay too hard for how poorly this is written, and the ending is just right. Stoner comedy probably works better if you watch it high, so this one might be on me.

The elevator pitch for this show was clearly "24 meets The Hangover," and while I'm mixed on The Hangover, 24 is a top ten all time show for me, so I enjoyed it. More or less real time "find the nuke" dumb thriller action, mixed with jokes about drunkenness and substance abuse. Macho bullshit, tits and ass, 80s references. Plotting not always great, and drug-trip-hallucination comedy is never that funny for me, and there's a lot of it here. But I still watched the whole season in three sittings.
