In the early 00s, I would watch just about any show in the teen drama genre (Dawson's Creek, Everwood, Gilmore Girls, Smallville, etc.) to completion, so it was notable that I watched the first season of this and was like "Nah, this shit sucks, no more for me."

Being married for ten years I probably had to sit through half of this series. It seemed like they were surprised it kept getting renewed as they kind of ran out of shit to do and people to fuck and lie to.

As I repeatedly tell my friends: this show changed my life and the ways I look at certain things. It also gave me really high expectations of live, love and relationships. The thing about this show is that you will only appreciate it and see the beauty in it when you watch it from season 1 to 9. Only then you'll realize that the soundtrack is one of the main characters or that Brooke Davis is one of the best TV characters ever written or that greatness actually lies in the detail.
