Presumed Innocent

The great Gyllenhaal and great Camp are the only pieces of driftwood to cling onto here, because the plotting and filmmaking are regrettably bland and predictable, but it's watchable because of those 2 + Fagbenle who surprises pleasantly. Every courtroom manouvre is so familiar that i feel like i'm a pensioned prosecutor myself. So why not bring anything new to the table? The obligatory end twist is as ridiculous as it is deflating, what's the point of all of this, why does this exist..

1x; Stopped after S1.

one of the most forgettable watchbait streaming shows I've ever seen

For the most part, nothing groundbreaking. But it has good performances and keeps you on your toes. Rusty is an incredibly unlikeable protagonist though, taking nearly every possible moment to show some warmth and fumbling it hard. I was more so rooting for Molto to lose rather than for Rusty to win. Still a good watch.

Сценарист вирішив, що достатньо буде використовувати прийом з покемонів, і створювати ситуацію спеціально, щоб створити кліфхенгер.

Quality TV with very good actors

Better than most court room shows but not by much. Kinda loses the plot and the ending twist is forced. I enjoyed the fact that I told my brother "this lawyer looks like a mascot for heart disease" and the lawyer had a heart attack 10 minutes later.

Doesn't leave you satisfied with the conclusion. Also why is it so dark (in lighting) - in some scenes even the inside of the courtroom is dark. I hate "noir" lighting.

Its VERY well acted. BUT a couple of real issues , really bog this score down. First, the main character , to me, was almost completely unlikable. I don't know if I was supposed to root for him, but he was such a moronic lying idiot it was painful at times. Also the new DA was perhaps one of the most annoyingly overarching smarmy bastards I have ever seen. NOW , some of the faults shed in a new light with the twist, but the twist itself is so much , in such a short period its almost comic.

Well, let's say the last episode didn't exist, this would've been a better series probably. I don't know if the ending did it for me. It was well acted, great editing and it did keep you tense. But the temperaments of Gylenhall character did drive me crazy a bit at times. But that ending.. It has good atmosphere and keeps you in.. But did I mention the ending?
