The major appeal is that they make Pumpkinhead more mobile, which honestly, is a pretty big improvement over the first film unless you like top halves of things appearing to be moving quickly as accented by arm swings (and who doesn't?). The community college stage play that is put around him though is pretty abysmal aside from Doug Bradley who looks relieved just to not have nails coming out of his face. If you like the monster design you could do worse.

Returns to the lore (what little of it there is) of the first Pumpkinhead after wiping off the feces splattered upon its pumpkin-face by the second. Pretty decent for a Sci-fi production, but as others have noted, that's like saying a decapitated meerkat is pretty decent compared to a decapitated capybara. Though, it's impossible to completely despise a movie in which a generously eye-shadowed biker-tavern hussy lovingly rugby-tosses a mummified baby cadaver into a 50's vintage cremating oven.

For anyone who's seen more than five Sci-Fi Channel movies, you can notice markedly better quality in this movie than the average Sci-Fi Channel movie. That doesn't mean its great, but it is watchable. When I was a kid Pumpkinhead scared the crap out of me, he still is pretty damn scary, even if half the time he's badly funded CGI.

Poorly done, uninteresting story, horrific acting, but it's still horror and it's still about a hideous alien creature in the woods so it gets a couple points. Don't waste your time -- watch Pumpkinhead 1 or Pumpkinhead 2 instead.

Jake West......this movie had no point being made...not even for a fast buck...what was the budget a bag of skittles.....was the script even written before shooting
