Q: Into the Storm

Pathetic anime nerds will be the death of us.

A film delving into QAnon starts like you would expect but really ends up being a lot less about Q and more about 8chan, a tiny man, an anime fan, and an aging goofball pervert. It actually comes to a more definitive, convincing, and satisfying conclusion than I expected. Big twist, not only are the people who buy fully into conspiracies idiots, but their purveyors are also, albeit in a different way. Hoback really lucked into some good filmmaking when things went nuts in the last episode.

Oh wow so the pedophile cabal conspiracy turned out to be run by a guy who owned a preteen porn domain and his anime waifu sex doll-owning son? And they were backed by a shadowy cabal?! It's basically the terminally online version of Tiger King, except the documentary maker isn't morally bankrupt and it all has severe real world implications. The final episode is incredible and has one of the best "being in the right place at the right time" setups in a documentary ever.

Really enjoyed this and getting to understand more about this weird conspiracy theory, its adherents, and its purveyors. I'm surprised this doc isn't getting more attention, which it certainly deserves.
