A bit standard and pedestrian, yet still entertaining, especially if you are a fan of Citizen Kane. Despite some sensationalising here and there (as is expected of true story TV-movies of the '90s), it still makes for a fun behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film, and more importantly the struggle this artist has to preserve his work, keeping Welles and Hearst on rather equal footing.

Takes it a little easy on Welles but has a very humanizing take on Hearst so that seems fair. Excellent casting, especially for made for TV (except Joseph Cotten; he was awful). Makes Orson out to be more of a winner than he really was but gives a nice look into the making of Kane. Highly Recommended.

Glad to have stumbled across this one. Unique movie about what is widely considered the greatest American movie ever made.

I liked it a lot! Just hits the right notes for this kind of movie.
