Some great episodes. Some not so great ones. Some really bad ones. As a dadaist-feminist take on black mirror, it's honestly pretty cool. As a show in a vacuum, it's alright.

This is an odd show. There's good acting, and some of the ideas are done well, but some episodes just don't work well, and the show as a concept overall isn't particularly clear on what it's trying to be. While there were some interesting ideas tried here, I think the show is just too strange and inconsistent overall.

You couldn't imagine how hopeful I was for Roar after the trailer and casting of Nicole Kidman and Alison Brie. However, as in most anthology series, there is a very complex and confusing storytelling style here. The audience can’t fully focus on the events. Some stories are really good, some are really bad and Roar has no stability unfortunately. As someone who likes feminist stories, I can say that I was disappointed because I expected much more.

I was very excited for this from the trailer and had quite the high hopes. Unfortunately, everything is too on the nose, too literal and with far less surrealism or, as advertised, futuristic worlds. I knew the series would tackle familiar issues, but I wanted, no, I expected it to be done better. However, most of the actors bring wonderful performances.
