Good documentary series, but lacks a bit of edge as Fry loves literally everything he comes across in the ol' U.S of A, with the understandable exception of American cheese! "Stephen Fry in Vatican City" would be much more entertaining!

Highlight was the hippie family that lived in a nuclear silo, that was an incredible pad. The rest is vaguely entertaining, there needs to be some kind of conflict for Fry to really shine and in this it's a non-stop lovefest..

I enjoy a lot of the work Stephen Fry has done, but on a personal level I find him to an insufferably pretentious twat with some subtly (and some not-so-subtly) classist, sexist and racist beliefs. Still, I'm a sucker for both travel shows and Americana, so it still ended being alright, but I can't help it but feel it would've been better with a more likable host.

[As aired] Don't remember allot but it's always nice to (virtually) hang out with Mr Fry.

Fry's weakest outing. His justification for touring America was that his cousin twice removed had a cat who once had a stop over flight there - or something like that. At least when Palin does Brazil he is honest enough to say it is just because he has not gone there before.

A varied and random assortment of not-so-average Americans.

The best concept for a documentary that I can think of. Mr. Fry is pleasantly inquisitive and resilient; if he ever became tired during the six week trek, he never let it on. Despite this being a perfect opportunity for people to bitch about how such and such wasn't adequately represented or whatever, I think a fair portrait was painted. And it was great hearing him take an extended verbal shit all over downtown Miami. I'd love to see a similar show done on the UK. Bill Burr in Britain?

Obviously not intended for American audiences, but I thought the outside perspective was interesting and Fry was amusing as usual.

I enjoy Fry, but parts of this series miss. Still an enjoyable experience.

I know he only had so much time, but he really should have visited some other cities in Florida. :/
