(E1) Tim Robbins' pubic hair has apparently not gone gray yet, and now I want to know all about pubic hair.

Let me know when the comedy starts, yeah?

The women are given little more to do than set up Jack Black and get gone down on by Tim Robbins, but there are more laffs than advertised. Pablo Schreiber and Eric Ladin are terrific together as drugged-up-and-dealing best-bud fighter pilots (it is implied that pretty much all fighter pilots are high pretty much all the time).

The Brink is satire that draws inspiration from Dr. Strangelove, delivering whacky characters and obscene jokes, and I loved every minute of it. Robbins owns every scene he's in as a horny, alcoholic politician who is seemingly the only one who wants to avoid WW3. Black and Mandvi make for a hilarious double act. Schreiber and Ladin add a ton of silliness as drug dealing pilots. A great show and a true shame that it got cancelled (almost immediately after it was renewed for season 2).

Generally got a pretty lukewarm reception from most quarters, but I have to say I liked it. As a piece of satire "The Brink" is a bit meh, but nonetheless the performances are good and the jokes regular and solid enough.
