Less absurd and horribly edited than the other Hopper's Masters of Horror (The Dance of the Dead), but still a dull, boring, unengaging experience. Certainly one of the bottom episodes.

The story was fine but the pacing and camerawork kept taking me out of it.

Hooper gets to have a little fun in these MOH things. There's some great scenes here (the opening is great and the scene where a guy kills himself with a hammer), but it goes too over the top for me. Actually showing the wind, instead of letting us imagine it was a huge miss.

This had the potential to be good but they blew it by making the wind an actual monster instead of just creating the tension in the theater of the mind. We don't need to see it.

Either ripping off 'The Shining' with some precision, or kind of empty and dumb, or sometimes both, and then an oil-monster comes along, and then it's over. I haven't read any Bierce except 'The Devil's Dictionary', but it seems unlikely this really has much to do with anything he wrote. He was talented and smart.

I like everyone involved but I cannot recommend this. I will not recommend it. You should watch it.

What I learned from this movie: wind is a legitimate defense for murder in Norway.

Great until the monster finally shows up. If only it was "The Shining" in Arlen, TX it would've been perfect.

One of the rare watchable MOH episodes.

This episode of MOH is a whirlwind of things that assault your senses and leave you wondering what just happened. I'm not sure if that's good or bad in the long run, but it felt pretty good.
