Interesting story, but it's dragged out much more than it should have been. It also moves into some very interesting territory at the very end, but gives the topic short shrift. It feels like a lot of docs can't decide whether they want to be narrow or broad, and make the mistake of trying to do both less successfully than if they had done one or the other.

So far beyond manipulatively edited and assembled. Yet another case of a story that would already feel drawn out at 90 minutes instead stretched out into 5 episodes per Netflix mandate with artificial """twists""" and faux suspense along the way. It's so by the numbers, right down to the awful B-roll where they film irrelevant interviewees with nothing to say walking in slow motion or staring """pensively""" out a window to fill time while they say absolutely nothing of substance

Fantastic documentary!! A craaaazy story. Only 2 points deducted because there were a few key things I was looking for them to address that they never did. **spoiler alert** 1. What led them to think he was Ivan the Terrible to begin with? 2. What was all of the "irrefutable evidence" that led both the U.S. and Germany to later be certain he was at least someone else who heavily participated in various atrocities of the Holocaust? Otherwise, great flick and information on history.

Very good series, kept my guessing but in hindsight , his attitude throughout the trial was very telling and made the conclusion less surprising.
