I was absolutely amazed at how much I enjoyed this HBO film. It's black comedy is akin to what has been seen in Dr. Strangelove. Now I'm not saying this is as good as Dr. Strangelove, it's not. The film making quality isn't nearly as high nor is Kelsey Grammar a suitable substitute for George C. Scott. However the humour in the film is absolutely superb so overlooking rather unexciting visuals becomes quite easy.

Definitely a TV movie, but well made and successful in it's portrayal of the retardation of the Military Industrial Machine. Or MIM as I like to call it.

I'm sorry. What was this movie supposed to be? A comedy, drama, military/war, reenactment, farce, thriller, epoch, satire, expose.....???? This movie is the equivalent of throwing chocolate, chicken, asparagus, mint, oysters, oregano, beans, salmon, honey, liver, syrup and celery into a blender.

Interesting subject, subtle comedy most of the time, though a few of the actors were being clearly silly. Also liked the soundtrack.
