Maddow is representative of what's wrong with the US liberal entertainment establishment (encompassing MSNBC, CNN, the Daily Show, Colbert & the other talk shows, SNL etc.). She/they were great during the Bush era, forgettable or became mouthpieces during Obama, and under Trump when people have figured out the status quo is untenable they want to return to it - if only Trump goes away everything will be fantastic. They defend a system that was already broken - see also Tina Fey's sheet cake bit.

Easily the most capable MSNBC employee (that's all relative) her delivery mixed with overly militant liberalism (this coming from a liberal) is off putting at times.
