Pretty damn funny! More than a sense of poignancy, Upload has a black sense of humour and nice timing. It's quite "adult" though so choose co-viewers carefully.

Solid premise with the lead characters having obstacles and real emotion to address while adding in the element of the digital world as their setting. It makes social commentary that is both clever and engaging and allows stars Amell and Allo to shine in pivotal moments that will project the series forward should it score a renewal. I am most definitely on board for more of this series. Smart, deep and full of witty banter and socially relevant quips this is a smart and interesting new show.

This show has a pretty cool idea, with great leads. Good comedy, but good moments of chemistry between the leads as well. There's also a cool element of mystery to it, and a few fun surprise moments throughout the show. I'm excited to see what happens next after the crazy season finale. EDIT: Season 2 was just as good, and can't wait for season 3.

I can’t explain why I find this show so addicting. Ok, it’s the characters

Watchable but it's so sad they turned this subject into ridicule. It could've been a serious scifi series but it became a poorly executed 22 minutes cheap jokes show.

Seemed great until you realise it's a love story.

Fantastic premise and the characters are good enough. But the story and the comedy really underwhelm. I'll probably keep watching the second season because I just enjoy exploring this world, but I hope it improves.

ger; [upload -- SERIE]; in der zukunft lässt sich das bewusstsein hochladen um dem tod zu entkommen, was ein mann nach einem autounfall notgedrungen macht - doch dort läuft alles anders.; {Folgen: S01E01-S03E08}; (folgen etwas abgehakt mit teils inhaltlichen Lücken zwischen folgen; Season 3 rating: 40);

Season 1: Well-balanced drama with mystery, humor and romance. Biggest flaw is the writers putting Ingred all over the map, depending on the needs of the episode. From vapid airhead to psychotic control freak to caring but abused soul.

Upon rewatch, there's a lot more to like about the first season, and the second REALLY raises the stakes. It hones in on its anti-capitalism bent more too, giving Upload a bit more teeth.

The first season is well paced, intriguing sci-fi dramedy with a murder mystery on the side. I dunno wtf happened with the 2nd season, but all the carefully crafted plot threads end up in a jumble and unnecessarily dragged (as I imagine the frontrunners found out they’ll be renewed for season 3 as well). S2 is not funny (apart from the hilarious Jake Paul quip), emotionally intense or intellectually captivating. S1 80/100, S2 50/100.

Very easily consumable entertainment with some pretty cool worldbuilding. And miss Allo's cuteness doesn't hurt matters.

very cool concept, but the assasins are not realistic at all which is very obvious, to the extent of that cop in money heist

Just wow. Like a way better version of The Good Place with lots of drama, humor, and excitement. Binged the whole thing in two days.

I get where it's going after watching most of an episode, and don't feel compelled to watch more. It's too flat, which is probably necessary for the broad appeal of the comedy. Those less versed in sci-fi might appreciate it more.

As someone who's fascinated with transhumanism, I thought I would have enjoyed this much more than I did. While I give it a lot of credit for its ingenuity, the show overall is somewhat boring. It constantly meanders between clever and borderline inane. The two dimensional characters definitely don't help with the entertainment factor either. While at its core it's an intellectual show, the themes are a bit lost in much of the dialog, in what's probably an attempt to appeal to a wider audience.
