Vigil

A decent (and quick) watch that tackles bureaucracy combined with a murder mystery, in a claustrophobic approach. It's not amazing, but the cast is pretty good and its a story I haven't seen repeated 100 times.

Another disappointing series, continuing the long line of disappointing series from the "Line of Duty" stables. This one surpassed even the huge anticlimax of the identity of "H" with the identity (and more to the point, the motives) of the "spy". That is not to say it didnt reach some heady heights before plummetting earthwards. Although I like Jones, she was miscast, panting her way through this but thank goodness the PC quotient was up there; UK TV seem to like heterosexuals turning lesbian

Overall intriguing and captivating. A lot of things were unnecessary though, especially everything surrounding the DSI's personal life. The Russian angle felt weird at first, but by the end it came together well. They should have utilized Martin Compston better.
