A new era is coming, and Warsaw stands uncomfortably at its edge. Art school classmates Christopher and Michal, on the precipice of their own coming of age, restlessly roam their city's streets in search of living forever inside the beautiful moment. Never content with answers, they push each experience to its breaking point, testing what it might mean to be truly awake in a world that seems satisfied to be asleep. (imdb)

Not the most CoinQuatro movie ever, but pretty close.

if you are (or once were) that particular brand of earnest metropolitan white 20something i get why this would be a religious experience (tis indeed basically pre-heist VICTORIA or a hypothetical pre-ennui OSLO AUGUST 31st as edited by later malick and doused in dreamy nostalgia). for a suburban nerd who was couched in snark and listening to black metal by the time he was 14, maybe not so much.

I liked the scene with the shitty music playing and people standing around doing nothing in particular. I'm kidding, that's every scene and it's exceptionally boring. This movie is a display of emptiness and shallowness for the purpose of... what exactly? The characters surely weren't likable, or even developed in any way, really. The main character might have some deep existential problems, and this movie might have something to say, but both hid it all too well under a veil of shallowness.

The movie Paul Kalkbrenner (and any French New Wave director) wanted to make. Keeps you constantly on your feet.
