Its script isn't particularly innovative or interesting, really, but I enjoyed it.

Same boring bullshit, different movie.

Despite the high concept, it's pretty formulaic and you aren't going to be surprised. But it pulls at the heartstrings just enough to make you connect with all the characters. Most importantly, though, it's damn funny.

A gay coming-of-age comedy with a happy ending? I love you Ireland. It is really funny (“Jesus will make the vagina slippery to accept the man’s love” LMAO) and incredibly relatable, it would have been useful for terrified 13 year old me who did not want to be a lesbian. I cried a lot, I just... it hits where it hurts :')

Decently funny and charming. Manages to pull itself above the made for Netflix rut(there’s some good ones out there mins you) teen coming of age stories seem to be in.

A very nice story of friendship

Its infrequent charms do not compensate for the contrived filmmaking or the male lead being a bullying wimp.
