Enjoyable and informative, but flawed. The film's biggest problem is the editing, which sometimes fails to organize its points in a cohesive and efficient way. Also, for a movie that wants to change the minds of Christians who use religion as a basis for, or to justify, their homophobia, it spends too much of its time preaching to the choir (pun unintended) and is best suited for Christians who already have some degree of LGBT acceptance.

I found this to be a pretty enjoyable documentary, although horribly repetitive. Some of the people they focused on were hard to relate to.

"The point that the homophobic right is picking and choosing which parts of the Bible to follow, and which verses to look at in the context in which they were written, is both terribly familiar and rudimentarily argued." - Ed Gonzalez

[For] The Bible Tells Me So must be the first liberal documentary to resist Bible-bashing for Bible-thumping.

It didn't change my mind on any issues since I was already an advocate for gay rights, but it was nice to see all the supportive families that were interviewed. I particularly enjoyed the thoughtful discussions on scriptural interpretation.

Sometimes interesting, sometimes obvious, but always with its heart in the right place.

Man, for a gay movie, this wasn't very gay. This movie really could have benefited from including people we actually care for and like. The only strong point of the film is Gene Robinson, and he is more than responsible for those 5 points.
