The Flight of Dragons

Certainly unique and memorable (read: pretty damn weird), but not especially good. Best appreciated by young kids and nostalgia-drunk adults. Also, did the poster artist even watch the movie?

One of the best fantasy movies out there. Basic television saturday morning animation but with a story like no other and tons of atmosphere. Among the very best fantasy movies ever made.

Tame.

It's fantasy and animation, and it came out at a point in my life where I could appreciate these things. Movie isn't super special or anything, but it is memorable. Not a huge fan of the way it ended looking back at it.

This is a strange film about the power of imagination and... Science? Everything is a bit off, yet intriguingly captivating. Wizards get ulcers, knights get drunk and dragons have heart attacks. For all its weirdness and sloppy animation it's a cool movie with a fun adventure (think D&D). It's also one of the few animations with decent morals, preaching science through "advanced film techniques" - like Ratatouille with creativity and art. It's probably too strange and scary for some kids, though

A fantastic cast and it has the unique interest of that early 80's weirdness but the animation is horrible.

How can a fantasy lover resist this movie?

A fabulous little animated fantasy story. A great tale of science vs. magic. Good for the kids, and good enough that adults can enjoy a showing and share some time with the young ones.

Another Rankin & Bass classic that features one of the most anticlimactic endings. I absolutely loved this movie as a kid.

Remember it being atmospheric and magical as a kid

Good artistry, high fantasy stuff really pulled me in when I was a kid, but it always pissed me off that stories like this were so damn simplistic and kitschy. I yearned for fantasy fare that was more "realistic": gritty, unpredictable and not so ordered and didactic.
