A nice movie about a young Japanese reporter in Uzbekistan who is dealing with (and trying to overcome) culture shock, stereotypes and personal fears.

Commissioned film and It still leave the impression of a film sposorized by the Ministry of Tourism of UZB, And yet, the chunks of UZB, were finally the only interesting thing. The disguise with the common parallel for trip and inner trip and transformation the traveler was supposed to experience, are banal and thin , and all that to just cumulating on a final popsong that everyone supposedly would love - just another very frequent excuse for films lately

About a women travel show reporter in Uzbekistan, who like so many find herself searching for herself and learning a thing or two about prejudices when in a totally different environment. It's very well directed and deliberately paced movie, but it does feel like we have seen this umpteenth times before.

The irony of an eventful trip being deemed "not suitable for TV." A bit of Lost in Translation vibes from the self-discovery.

K is a genre-bending master. Yoko longs to be a singer and tells one of her producers she's got an audition in Tokyo when she gets back. Well, this is trip is kinda IT. A strange, tense, unpredictable job at filming stuff in Uzbekistan and experiencing all kinds of weird situations -- from saving a goat to seeing herself singing at a stage; from almost dying in a little theme park ride to being chased by cops for filming forbidden areas and fearing for her fireman boyfriend's life in Japan.
