I never introduced myself in here but guess what? I met Francis Ford Coppola last night. Was cool to touch the hand of a God.
is your name adam carolla, bh. srsly, how was it?
It was cool. He premiered Tetro at SIFF (I couldn't get tickets) so I just waited for him to show up on the red carpet. Gallo didn't come but the other lead showed up and I saw him too. It was funny some guys tried to get a picture with him and the guy with the camera is like "OK...1....2..." then Coppola just turns away. And then I heard him saying how he doesn't have time. I got some pictures of him maybe I'll post them when I upload them to my computer.
Thats bad ass, Tommy Lee Jones went to my friends restaurant the other day. She wasn't surprised because hes a famous actor, she was surprised that he wasn't wearing a sheriffs outfit like he does in all of his fucking movies... and I guess the rapper Common was there recently, but who cares about Common.

let's see.... i love movies, hence why i'm here... you can tell i've seen many by my ratings.
i mainly joined so i could find more movies to watch based on a history of my likes/dislikes on movies i've seen.
i write screen plays, and a good friend of mine is a talent agent and another good friend is a film director... the master plan is to put something together.
Meh, been here for a month now, and while I generally hate introduction threads, I'll post some basic statistics.
Born in Moscow, immigrated to the US when I was 10, grew up in the Bay Area. Live near Los Angeles. Already finished my undergraduate studies in math and economics (double major), and will go to grad school after a year. Skinny guy with glasses, at 6' 5", 200 pounds.
Have been fascinated, and predominantly watched action films for the majority of my life, especially Hong Kong kung fu films from the years 1973-1984, most of whose names I have completely forgotten. The action genre is the only one where I would say I'm a genuine expert of any kind. I'm willing to view just about anything though, and give it a fair chance.
I watched a ridiculous number of movies in high school, (and relatively few in college) but I'm impressed at all the teenagers in this topic who have already matched or surpassed my totals. The Internet is awesome like that, and makes a lot of overlooked classics or rarer films more accessible to everyone.
