Using (unattributed and uncredited) the same plot as Columbia's 1930 "Dawn Trail", and Reliable would dust it off again two years later for "Ambush Valley", Sheriff Tom Tracy (Tom Tyler) is summoned to the sheep camp where he finds Old Man Jenkins fatally wounded and, with his dying breath, accuses Ned Hampton (Edmund Cobb), brother of the girl to whom Tom is engaged, Molly (Virginia Brown Faire), of having shot him in the back.
Escaping the law, Jim Parker arrives in a town that is controlled by Higgins and his crony Judge. When he stands up to Higgins he is made Sheriff only to be shot in the back, After recovering he returns to get the man that shot him. When the gang attacks, he fights back from the newspaper office. When a stray bullet nicks the printing press plate he sees that it is solid gold and its not long before the masquerades on both sides of the law are revealed.
Barely out of prison, Jim Regan is arrested once again, this time for the attempted shooting of Denver Dan Norris, the villain who framed him in the first place. With the assistance of his young friend Wally Weston Jim is released once again on the condition that he won’t leave town.

Royal Canadian Mounted Policeman Sandy Sanderson (Russell Hayden) is given the task of rounding up a gang of fur thieves led by his twin brother Johnny (Russell Hayden). The brother, by masquerading as Sandy in a Mountie uniform, puts suspicion of fur stealing and murder on Sandy. Sandy narrowly escapes a lynching before escaping and bringing his brother and the rest of the gang to justice.
