Bio: I love movies. Especially the great films. Love it when movies are so good, they become part of your DNA. Movies with characters so well-written, you instantly indentify with certain characters, and get totally enveloped in the journey. Wish I could say most of today's films are still doing that, but most are not. Oh, I like good TV series also, but... just like most of today's films, we're dealing with an insane OVERSATURATION of content. Makes it much harder to find the gold, amongst the coal.

Growing tired of the "bizauma" (bizarre+trauma) genre. Yeah, I get it... trauma is the new horror trope. Garland knows how to do unsettling, but that's not enough to sustain my excitement. Remember being excited about films... vs bewildered? Well shot/acted, I'll give it that. But for me, lack of cohesion and muddled values (and don't tell me lack of cohesion is the point, or you'll get smacked!). Whoops... did I just become part of the "problem"? :)

pretty damn cheesy. Seeing it for first time in 2023, it's not what I'd hoped. super dated!

I mean, it's fine and all. Watched it with the wife. Can't believe the first time I'm watching this is this year (I'm 53). I had just thought I'd already seen it. The formula is very simple. Simpler than I thought. And you can tell that Stern/Pesci are just skipping their way through the film, not knowing it would be what it became. It's OK. Was going to rate it 80, but I'll bump it to 85, because it's Christmas (and it's COLUMBUS!)

Aaron/Justin have FINALLY revealed the truth! i.e. the real meaning of their films. Ready? Here it is: The deeper meaning is.... 100% NOTHING! For those who filled up countless Reddit pages telling us what Endless & Resolution means, the joke's on you. Dirt reveals there was NO answer. Rather, just two guys having a blast making films & smirking at their audiences struggling for meaning. I think it's a relief. I knew everyone was wrong! Lesson: learn to watch movies and just enjoy!
