Die Hard (1988) - Rated 01 Nov 2026
Christmas Marathon Part 1: One of the quintessential action movies ever made. It has iconic lines and especially iconic characters. It is a classic for a reason. And yes, it IS a Christmas movie full stop

The Godfather (1972) - Rated 01 Nov 2026
You know that kind of film where everyone loves it and you always hear just how great it is and then it ends up being just as good as everyone was saying? Well there are many great examples of this: Pulp Fiction, Apocalypse Now, Spirited Away, and The Apartment. But the biggest example of this to me is none other than, The Godfather. Yes, I know predictable, to say this is one of the great American films ever made, so why should I rave about it?... - Full Review

Drop Dead Fred (1991) - Rated 01 Nov 2026
One of the hardest films I have ever had to rate. Oh I've seen some films with completely different tones that clash with one another, but they pale in comparison to Drop Dead Fred. I get what this film wants to say, and I respect that, but it cancels out with very unfunny, juvenile, and annoying humor, seriously I couldn't stand it. I don’t hate the entire picture itself, but it is an absolute mess in every possible way you can think of. At l... - Full Review

Princess Mononoke (1997) - Rated 01 Nov 2026
A breathtaking masterpiece. It is actually amazing how this film manages to have both sides of the war look reasonable, yet we disagree with both. All the characters are great, and Miyazaki is actually really good at directing an action film, a bow and arrow shoots off someone's head for Christ's sake! It really is the definition of the word EPIC

Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986) - Rated 01 Nov 2026
I am kind of mixed on Matthew Broderick as an actor, but this is his peak. He and everyone in this film are hilarious, this really does give you that great feeling of skipping school. And has the best use of Yello's "Oh Yeah" in any movie ever. But hot take, the principal was honestly right. #justiceforrooney

The English Patient (1996) - Rated 01 Nov 2026
Elaine Benes was right. I cannot believe I wasted my time watching this Oscarbait slop. It is dull and lifeless, at least the cinematography is nice. For every Oscar this film won, that is how many hours long it feels to sit though. This is the film equivalent of waiting in line at the DMV

The Lion King (1994) - Rated 01 Nov 2026
I never understood why The Lion King was treated as film royalty, it is far far far far far far far far from perfect, I like some characters like Scar and Mufasa, who both have great voice actors, the animation is beautiful, the score is amazing, and that opening? top notch! but the film derails heavily after Mufasa's death, it becomes a generic kids movie afterwards, with fart jokes and basic lines, which gives emotional whiplash, Simba is a... - Full Review

Titanic (1997) - Rated 01 Nov 2026
Titanic is great! I actually quite enjoy the romance and feel the chemistry is great, I absolutely buy Jack and Rose together. Sure the villain is overly cartoony and certain lines can feel a tiny bit cheesy, but I was a fan of the first half! Shouout to Kathy Bate's really funny and memorable preformance as Molly Brown by the way, I feel we don't talk about it enough. Even if you dislike the romance we have to agree that the actual ship sinking... - Full Review

An Alan Smithee Film: Burn Hollywood Burn (1997) - Rated 01 Nov 2026
“It’s worse than Showgirls” How ironic that line is, because the film this line is from really, really, REALLY is, at least Showgirls had the structure of a feature film! Joe Eszterhas really thought he was being clever by throwing a jab at a movie he wrote, This film is magnificently disastrous and mean-spirited. Louis Le Prince made the first motion picture ever made—The Roundhay Garden Scene, maybe one of the reason he disappeared was by sheer... - Full Review

Freddy Got Fingered (2001) - Rated 01 Nov 2026
Freddy Got Fingered is not a good film objectively. It is a gross out anti-comedy with basically ZERO plot, it's just Tom Green doing the most vile things he can get away with. It barely actually tries to make the cartoonist thing be the main thing. It is horrifying but it is weirdly an amazing time. Every scene I was bracing myself towards because you never know what on God's Green Earth will happen next. It is so surreal, and Rip Torn’s p... - Full Review
