Not sure why so many people dislike it; I thought it was a pretty tongue-in-cheek view on womanhood. In the end, all of the self-aware/biting sarcasm of the film seems to support the idea that "The House Bunny" posits a necessity for women to strive for hotness in society, but not necessarily that it glorifies, supports, or approves of the idea.

Love the main themes: the double-edged sword of uncompromising kindness and the wisdom in embracing absurdity. Refreshingly astute mediation on modern life, and a beautifully nuanced depiction of modern inter-generational relationships strained by the increasingly rapid change in core values and morals between parents and children.
