Don't waste your time with this. I read the books when I was a teen and they were pretty good, but this is just abysmal in every regard. I'm sure this movie would not have attracted a star as big as Travolta if the books were not written by the founder of Scientology.

Great acting by Cruise. A Science Fiction version of groundhogs day that I would recommend to all Sci-Fi fans.

Amazing acting by Christian Bale, he manages to take you on an immersive trip into his sleep deprived world where it becomes impossible to tell what is real. A must see for all fans of psychological thrillers.

The Master Cleanse (2016) - Rated 20 Jun 2018

A bizarre story that requires a major suspension of disbelief but has a very sweet message. If you like it strange (and i do lol) and have a creative mind you will be able to appreciate this.

Valhalla Rising (2010) - Rated 20 Jun 2018

To me this movie is an epic portrayal of a male perspective on self realisation/acceptance and sacrifice. I would recommend it to boys / male teens. Not that many will necessarily get what I did out of it but it is worth a shot as that sort of transformative effect is sadly needed in our day and age. There is minimal dialogue and the overall atmosphere seems to be the main vehicle to drive the messages. Many will not have the patience for this, but for those that do it can speak deeply.
