The best element of this film is that it denies the audience the expected good-vs-evil fantasy tropes. Anyone can imagine himself on either side of this drama, regardless of political affiliation. That's what some people are mad about: they want to know which side is "good" and which side is "bad", but the film does not spoon-feed this to you.
