This is some crazy technical mastery. But the story feels a bit lacklustre. Also, are they seriously gonna have that shitty army dude as the main antagonist next movie, because that is seriosuly dissatisfying.

Avatar: Fire and Ash (2025) - Rated 06 Jan 2026

Watched this movie with a bunch of friends at the cinema. Still just a really fun movie, with the same higights as the others films. Does kind of cheapen it a little bit, as is just the same formula. But still, very entertaining. I think some people fail to understand that not every movie has to be challenging or life-changing, sometimes people just want to be entertained. 3.5/5.

Blade Runner (1982) - Rated 04 Dec 2025

A very aesthetic-looking film that asks some deep questions. Doesn't mean the film is particularly subtle, that the main character makes sense, or that there is much of a plot. I understand why someone might find this boring. But I can allow for all those details to take a back seat to the mood and aesthetic, because I think this film is cool as hell. 4/5

Train Dreams (2025) - Rated 06 May 2026

I honestly not sure what to make of this film. It was a greatly emotional, devestating and beautiful experience with some great cinematography and acting performances. However, I'm just not sure what to feel, nothing in particular really resonated with me. That's not say I didn't pick up on the themes and intricasies of the film. This film might just be one of those you watch the first time and only slightly grasp, and the second is when you really get it. I won't be rating this.

Cure (1997) - Rated 28 Jan 2026

This move initially seemed very slow when I first started; however, it all paid off as this movie turned out to be one of the most intriguing, but disturbing films I've ever watched. I don't quite understand it enough to bring this up to five stars, but this is definitely a film I plan on giving a rewatch.

Pan's Labyrinth (2006) - Rated 18 Dec 2025

pretty fucked up, but oddly mesmerising. I just don't get the themes the film is touching upon. I can see it's there, but I don't quite understand. I might need to have a rewatch, which I don't exactly want to do.
