24: Live Another Day

One of the better seasons of the show. Extra points for being only 12 episodes.

Hit and miss entry that ultimately does justice to the shows characters.

Packs into one twelve-episode season all the set pieces and twists and absurdity and badassery of a full 24 episodes, jettisoning the filler. The drone chase in episode 7 is one of the best action scenes of the series. I loved it. I'm just gonna be straight-up here: I just love 24 and Jack Bauer. They could make season 10, then 11, 12, and up through 15 and I'd watch 'em all. This season proved that all the people saying how much better Homeland was than 24 were mistaken.

Jack is back, and boy is he pissed. Only 12 hours, but all that means is a lot less sub-plot BS. You're getting essence of 24 here without any downtime. The return of Heller leads to some great moments and Jack uses a damn katana at some point. If you wanted more 24, you got it.
