Highly distressing and depressing document of half a millennium of brutality, betrayal and genocide.

Consistently watchable documentary about The Great American Genocide. Costner only shows up in brief patches, so don't let his woodenness scare you away from a really interesting piece of history

The bleak story of the destruction of indigenous peoples of the Americas. Beginning with the arrival of Columbus, the death, abuse and humiliation began and did not stop until all of the Native Americans had been hunted, slaughtered or defeated. The trail of destruction spans the centuries and lead to the extermination of many vibrant cultures. It is heartbreaking to see the same cruel events unfold over and over again in history. This story is mostly one sided, but the devastation was real.

Informative, but dry.
