Not funny enough to be truly entertaining, and not objective or thorough enough to be truly enlightening. At best it will inspire you to do your own research, because the conclusions he presents are frequently full of holes.

Adam Ruins Everything falls between entertaining skepticism and genuine scientific skepticism. Penn & Teller: Bullshit!, an obvious inspiration, goes far in the entertainment direction while this tries to do both and ends up accomplishing neither. While I do appreciate using actual sources, they are too often misused or based on very old studies which are no longer relevant. Another negative is that Adam has already set up and knocked down more strawmen than Bullshit! did in its entire run.

Smugly inaccurate. Didactic yet poorly-researched pseudointellectual status quo propaganda that fallaciously just ridicules points it can’t factually dispute. Who gave Michael Moore’s f*boy robot a show? Found out about this babysitting an impressionable little girl who took his word on everything to correct people at school and feel superior about it, despite never doing her own research. She was vulnerable to that, being insecure socially & academically. Also true of most adult viewers, sadly.

Not only is Adam incredibly unfunny, but a lot of the claims he makes are objectively untrue and his use of sources are garbage. People seem to think that just flashing your source on screen is proof you've utilized them properly, but Adam has a tendency to take a lot of these sources out of context or misquote them, while also making many moronic arguments elsewhere (such as his claim that Roosevelt did nothing to deserve being on Mount Rushmore). Agonizingly pretentious garbage.

Really great info with cited sources? Yes please. However, lots of the data is presented in a misleading way and the comedy is pretty subpar. Still, this is definitely my favorite "educational" show and a good place to get started if you want to learn about a topic.
