A sweet, charming story that was thoroughly enjoyable to watch. I am now a big fan of Megan Follows as she was quite entertaining and a magnificent actor. Colleen Dewhurst and Richard Farnsworth were both good and also very charismatic. The story is tender and entertaining.

A long-time favorite; I love this movie. A great adaptation of the book and a very sweet, well-acted, and beautiful film (it's great to see the gorgeous PEI that Montgomery always described so lovingly and poetically!)

Anne is a fun character that is easy to become invested in. Megan Follows plays her to perfection and leads a good cast. I could use a little more conflict, as everything is pretty hunky dory pretty much the entire time, but it's still a pleasant watch.

As a mini-series it will be too slow for many but it's very endearing and a good adaption of the book with great casting

It doesn't matter if you can't relate to Anne, that's the point of introducing every Canadian kid to her. To be able to.

My mom loves this series so damn much, and I must give it credit. I definitely found it somewhat enjoyable despite my young age and it being a series I would have never expected to like as a male.

I had great memories of this as a child. And the re-watching of this did not disappoint. Megan Follows performance is the definite Anne and the exuberance of the character she plays makes the mini-series on its own. With great supporting actors like Colleen Dewhurst it had to be. The look on her face when Gilbert comes to her rescue when she was trying to feign indifference was a picture - and this just after the pastiches of the Lady of Shalott and Suicide of Ophelia. Wonderful!

I don't think I'm the right audience for a blowhard redhead bookworm Canadian female coming-of-age period piece melodrama. That said, the acting was generally excellent and the characters are very well realized.

The best adaptation of the novel up to that point, and probably forever. Megan Follows, Colleen Dewhurst, Richard Farnsworth and Patricia Hamilton are all so perfectly cast it will be how I see the character for the rest of my life. No matter how many versions will come, this is the most honest, emotional, detailed, fun, and enjoyable version of the story.
