Made it to episode 4. Excellent premise and animation, ruined (as usual) by extreme misandry. Tl;dr: women are inspiring and complex, men are shallow and evil; I lost count how many times someone remarked on how terrible all men are and how oppressed all women are. The main antagonist is a European man (the only one so far), and everyone keeps talking about how much of an evil monster he is. There's a lot more, but you get the point. The writers' hate is ever present. Look for it and you'll see.

This show features one of the coolest, most breathtaking styles of animation I've ever seen. They also do not shy away from gore and mature themes. This show is not for kids and it's better for it. It doesn't just have shock value for the sake of it, it pushes the plot forward. The main character, Mizu, is one of the better female protagonists I've seen and steals the show through and through.

i will gladly suspend my disbelief for this show, its gorgeous, the actors have chemistry, the characters are nuanced and influenced by their intersectional existence and aaa

It's beautiful to watch and it has a straightforward yet endearing story. The only downside of it, there are so many unrealistic points that you just need to swallow.

Stunningly animated and choreographed, with a focus on character development that I greatly appreciated.

They should have condensed the story more. Since they stretched it too much, the second half of the season ended up being tedious. The complaints about misandry are laughable. Slight spoilers: There are plenty of likable male characters, such as the father figure who is outright perfect, the love interest who goes through a journey of growth. And there's female characters who have no redeeming characteristics, such as the mother, the mother in law. And the lead herself is deeply problematic.

Very clever, great animation. The misandry could be left out, with male characters demoted to 'dudes in distress'. But I'll forgive that, given the social agenda's prominent in Hollywood ATM. I enjoy the show.

A bit cliché to be honest, but doesn't disappoint. Can't always expect a novel backstory for everyone. The art is great and so are the action scenes. The story is alright, a bit shallow at times but still more interesting than not. There are unpredictable moments too. I found it too artificially pro-women/men-suck, at times which... eh well...it's Netflix. Overall a good show.

I'm a right-leaning centrist and I'll non-biasedly tell you (especially if you're a conservative) to not listen to the gripes that this show is somehow misandric. It's not. Each and every character has horrible and redeeming characteristics (maybe aside from Swordfather – he was wholesome throughout – a MALE character). I'm not into the cel-shading overlay on 3D models style animation (Disney's Wish is just... blergh). Animation aside, the story is so, so good. I loved all the main characters.

85% of score is for the animation which is superb, the plot though not well worn, is highly predictable. This will keep you watching but like an overly rich sweet you will have little desire to return to the coming (endless?) seasons - is sorta complete but also open ended. Has some graphic sex scenes and a lot of blood so not a toddlers cartoon.

Every dialogue intriguing, every moment authentic, and every frame a painting. Absolutely exquisite writing, and equally enthralling animation. Did I mention how perfect the writing is?
