Chainsaw Man

The cringe is really strong with that one. Interesting bits of worldbuilding but the whole sex pest protagonist thing reeks of unwashed shonen nerd. I don't feel comfortable around that type of thing being played for laughs. Chainsaw capybara was the real star, sad he's gone so fast.

Successfully toes the line between hilariously demented and hilariously terrible (which is quite thrilling) until just past the halfway mark, where it becomes obvious that it's just plain terrible instead. The characters are quite fun at times, but the writer doesn't know what to do with them and has nothing interesting up his sleeve. Also oddly overproduced - I usually like insane animation, but the movement in this is honestly very distracting. I continue to be unimpressed by battle shonen.

The characters are interesting, but the story is badly written.

It's a decent show but, like most modern anime, incredibly overrated. In concept it's great but in execution it becomes pretty stereotypical and relies mostly on shock value. I really only find one or two characters interesting as most characters just rely on intentionally obtuse backstories or personalities with extreme quirks (like MC being a sexual predator) rather than good writing.
