Come on, who is this for? Children? Doesn't everyone already understand the mechanics of evolution? What a pointless docum-- ooooh wait nevermind apparently I forgot I'm living in some bizzaro world where science and logic mean nothing. Despite this, the nature photography is gorgeous and stunning and the parts about Darwin and the outrage he caused were very informative and interesting, so in all seriousness I did quite like it.

David Attenborough could read the phone book and he'd have me glued to the set. The background on Darwin's work was interesting and the evolution stuff was nicely supported by the high quality stuff BBC is known for.

Nice documentary, and well done one. It doesn't add too much for those who already know "enough" about evolution, I mean, the basics, as it really don't go further than that, but I think is good for younger audiences and those that, being open to scientific understanding of the world, don't know it yet, but I don't think it will change fundamentalist minds. It's also a good thing they take some time too talking about the man and not just the theory.

Fantastic look at how important Darwin's scientific discovery has been and the impact that it has had. David Attenborough is fantastic, as usual, providing the viewer with an incredibly warm and heartfelt outlook at humanity and it's close relation with the world.

I'm a supporter of the intelligent design hypothesis, and see most hardcore darwinists of today as intellectually dishonest crooks, but I still think Darwin himself was a great man, a honest genius.

a bit basic but wonderful presentation of Darwin and his life changing works... A must see for every teenager...

A wonderful documentary with one of the best narrators. It is a good high-level examination of the natural world and our place in it. It touches all of the high points and is tactful about presenting the history of its understanding.
