Crash of Moons

Zero-budget space opera that couldn't be more 1950s if it tried.

Rocky Jones, Space Ranger was a 1954 kid's sci-fi series, which released as 39 TV-episodes and as 12 feature films compiling those same episodes together. This one putting episodes 21-23 of the Crash of Moons saga for a feature release. Aimed at kids, the effects are very basic, but particularly, these episodes felt poorly written, making them some of the worst in the series. They do attempt a larger scale story, but that plummets worse with the non-existent budget.

Mst3k: 6/10

One of a half-dozen or so "features" culled from episodes of the early sci-fi TV show "Rocky Jones, Space Ranger". Primitive acting and special FX but still fun in a silly sort of way.

Crash of the Moons is rather entertaining. The special effects aren't half bad considering what it is. It's an enjoyable watch since the movie's not boring and the acting is laughably cheesy.

Rocky Jones: the only hero with a sidekick lamer than Batman's Robin. Rocky sidekick "Winky" does well enough, but hell.. I mean his name's WINKY!
