The kind of movie that screams "You see, lazy asshole! Someone made this! Someone actually spend time and (presumably some) money producing this! What's your fucking excuse?"

Silly. Like all SciFi originals.

It's bad. Just bad. Clichéd and clunky. Features forgettable characters, conspicuous CG animated monsters, and gratuitous violence in a story that endeavoured so hard to be epic it just fell flat on its ass. It's hilariously bad. Seriously, tell me you've watched that scene where the main character interacts with the cyclops, and it didn't make you at the very least chuckle. "Meat!" I was laughing so hard at that scene, I'll give the movie credit for that. I hope it was intentional.

A poorly-rendered CGI cyclops is captured and taken to Rome where he aids in a revolution by a former general-turned-gladiator to overthrow the Caesar. If that sounds like a mash-up of King Kong and Gladiator, you're on the right path. This is a typical SyFy film with poor acting (monotony by the lead, overacting by the villain) and special effects. A low moment is when the cyclops is brought to Rome. Noise is inserted of a crowd cheering, but none of the few extras are actually doing so.

One of those movies that never evolves beyond its basic concept. It's one thing to have a story idea; it's another to GO SOMEWHERE beyond that basic idea: to craft intricacy, challenge the viewer. This one can be summed up 'guy captures monster, teams up with monster to take on corrupt emperor'. That's it. That's all you need to know.
