Written by people who don't understand basic physics or how men and women converse. Firefly's Mal is replaced with a millennial woman with no sense of power or authority. Jayne is replaced with a vastly more annoying idiot. Radiation interferes with radio signals. Spacewalks are done without a tether. No interesting social changes happen between 2015 and 2600, even with the faster-than-light travel and androids. Accidentally provides insight into how people with no science knowledge think.

Season 1 was really strong. Season 2 brought interesting character development. Season 3 went in every direction at once with silly plots and got the show cancelled. Too bad, I really like where it was going before it started losing its sense of direction. Android is one of the most likable characters in scifi, I'll miss this show, but at the same time it might be best for Malozzi to see his show cancelled when he loses his touch. Might help him reflect on keeping a direction when writing.

Form the minds of SG1, Dark Matter is a sci-fi mystery that is driven by characters. Unfortunately those characters aren't great, but somehow the show's still intriguing, and they grow on you. Physics be damned, it's a space opera with a focus on the drama rather than the science.

Cute small series, nothing spectacular but intriguing story. Just forget about a cheesy score, some poor suspense scenes and that the series never concludes properly because it got cancelled after the third season.

good series

Although the concepts of pretty much every episode are fine, the cast and underdeveloped characters just can't fully carry the storyline. I also have difficulties with its pace. I'm feeling the same unease, a feeling of "it won't be any good, ever, but there's much potential", as with other Canadian shows like Continuum, Caprica, Travelers and Sanctuary (alhough I still have my fingers crossed for the latter two).
