(John Mulaney voice) Oh, here's something new and interesting. Too bad it's DRUMMERS! And a comedy drum special with no Jon Wurster? You might as well DIE! I ate more SHROOMS!

This hit a niche spot for me, but it didn't wow; I found it more interesting than funny. Some of the musician-centric humor was excellently crafted.

Funny and witty. At times. But most of the time boring, lazy and lacking any flow.

Really not much here that could be described as comedy. Being a drummer I thought this might have some witty relatable stuff but it just fell flat throughout. Drummer or not don't bother with this one.

Performing drum-themed stand-up comedy was a really good idea but somehow "Standup For Drummers" turned out to be quite the missed opportunity. There's a lot of irrelevant - and not particularly funny - jokes, not enough drumming and overall nothing that essential neither from a comedic nor a musical standpoint. Fred Armisen is likable and this special isn't bereft of good bits, it's just really puzzling how he managed to waste the potential it had.

No belly laughs but a steady supply of chuckles and some neat drumming stuff. I wish he had done more drumming impersonations.
