He-Man and She-Ra: A Christmas Special

Just as gloriously awful as you could hope for.

I didn't know I would be able to review to this, and I didn't mentally prepare myself to do so...but then, how could I have? From a non-ironic standpoint, it's godawful: shoddy animation, lazy writing, an incredibly trite message, obvious incest between He-Man and She-Ra (I'm not even joking), and some boring-ass new characters along for the ride. But if you want some choice 80s cheese to laugh at, it fits the bill perfectly. Skeletor even gets to prove what a softy he is. Also, fuck Orko.

It's not Christmas without He-man and She-ra

Absolutely, delightfully terrible. A smorgasbord of accidental innuendo, out-of-nowhere attempts at selling toys, random additions to the Lore, and tapdancing around the concept of Jesus like a water buffalo on ice skates. Skeletor's heart grew three sizes that day, and while the script didn't put a lot of effort into it, the voice actor did. A magnificent bad movie night.

I liked to watch He-Man and She-Ra. These episodes of Christmas, were always means idiot, but had all series.

As much as I liked He-Man...the Christmas special was a bit excessive. Children from Earth being stranded in Eternia? Come on now. Couldn't we just have not had a Christmas episode and had more crap with the generic He-Man storyline: Skeletor enlists the help of :random baddie:, it seems :random baddie: has the upper hand due to his unique talents/fighting style, He-Man beats the crap out of them anyway, Orko does something stupid, The End.
