Little House on the Prairie

Loved every minute of it. I believed it! The story, the feelings, the struggles... *Very good

I've seen about 4 episodes of this so far, but I'm really enjoying it. Alice Halsey especially is fantastic in her role, just as she was in Lessons in Chemistry. I can see her growing into quite a powerful actress as she gets older. I look forward to watching the rest.

With so many directions pulling at once (book, previous tv series, historical accuracy (Ingalls family), historical accuracy (frontier realities), etc), on the balance it does a good job adapting for modern audiences. It takes a similar approach as Anne with an E. It retains much of the romanticism of the book, while introducing some conflict where we would expect. It also introduces some character growth, such as the evolution of Catherine's prejudices and Charles's communication choices.

Seen through season 1.
