Really not all that bad, especially when you consider the production source and context. Lohan is quite entertaining to watch, and it's an interesting, roller-coaster biography to learn about.

Quite odd made for TV effort is a bit dull for the most part, and far from the tawdry sleaze fest it was marketed as. Lohan does some passable emoting, but looks, sounds and carries herself in a way not remotely resembling Liz; Bowler however makes for a fine Dick, and if only other elements of the film were at his standard, the film overall may have worked far more successfully. Laughably inaccurate recreations of key famous moments from their movies (particularly WOOLF) also detract.

A nice slice of corpse-feeding melodrama from Lifetime. The romance of Elizabeth Taylor (Lindsay Lohan) and Richard Burton (Grant Bowler) would be hard enough to elevate above soap opera, but they don't even try. Lohan makes no effort to sound like Taylor, nor to make her seem remotely likable or even human; Bowler fares somewhat better (he has the voice), but the script is so full of cliches and so devoid of insight or dramatic tension, that it fails to even reach the level of pretentious.
