Lon Chaney: A Thousand Faces

Glosses over the more interesting portions of his life before his success and instead restorts to a clip show re-explaining scenes for us modern audiences. Decent but leaves a lot to be desired.

Chaney truly was a fearless, one-of-a-kind performer whose talent for makeup and prosthetics was borderline, if not outright, genius, and his screen presence was arguably second to none in American silent cinema. His untimely death at the dawn of talkies was deeply unfortunate but also strangely fitting. Brownlow does not provide much in the way of insight, and his pivotal relationship with Browning is only superficially explored, but it does create interest in his body of work.
