Louis has changed. His jokes here are a bit less clever and interesting. His delivery and timing, which are a huge part of his routine, are a bit off. The jokes here simply aren't all that good. Not LOL funny, as they once were. He spends a lot of time setting them up, only to deliver a soft, safe, filtered punchline. I love Louis. He's one of the funniest comedians of all time, but you'd never know based on this special. It's not all bad--maybe about 20:80. I hope he rebounds.

As his bit about old people making room for the new implies, this might be end of the line stuff from louis, you've just seen most of it one way or the other. Which wouldn't be that much of a downer, if this brand of humor wouldn't disappear along with him. Or any humor, that is.

It's no surprise C.K. delivers another great special; it's what he's been doing consistently for so long. He's still the best at juggling risqué subject matter in a way that's both provocative and substantial, at making detours seemingly carried away by his train of thought and then hilariously circling back, and at alternating thought-provoking bits with silly jokes and simply basking in the goofiness of the juxtaposition. Make no mistake: he knows exactly what he's doing every step of the way.

A bit cringy at times. The score would be much lower if it wasn't for the Good Will Hunting bit.

Louis' third special since his hiatus and he probably should have spent a bit more time developing this one. This seems to be about 25% padding to run out the hour.
