Mike Birbibliography is one of the best storytellers and top stand up comedians around.

Birbiglia is a comedy giant.

I love this guy's comedic style. Conversational, free-flowing, compelling. Very funny slice-of-life material, too.

I thought the first half of the standup was fairly weak, but he had me on the floor after the story at the end involving Dennis Eckersley and the Writer.

Birbiglia's writing is very strong, even if it takes a little while to warm up to his delivery style. The stories themselves -- particularly the charity golf tournament / MLB Awards double-whammy that closes the show -- are outstanding, and Birbiglia makes strong use of call-backs throughout the show. I will occasionally play this special via Netflix on my iPhone and just listen to it while I clean my room. Even without looking, I can always picture his physicality exactly. It's great stand-up.

I'll be honest it took longer than normal for this guy's humour to settle in but once it did it was pretty much a non-stop guy buster. Mike's calm and unaggressive demeanour combined with his viciously self-depreciating humour really stands out as I can't think of any other comic like him.

Oh man, this guy is good. "Hey there, cracker, pass me the Sun Chips!"
