Pretty funny and I really appreciate the talk on depression

Worth watching both for the laughs and for the autobiographical parts. Like if you wanna go "Oh, so you - --can-- do stuff even when you're severely depressed?"

Having subscribed to Brennan's podcast for almost a year before giving up, I've realized he's like bizarro Maron - in that, getting past his unlikeable exterior, the more you see and hear of him the more unlikeable he becomes. Obviously some people seem to disagree.

I applaud him opening up himself to do something like this and push the format, but it didn't really work for me that well. I'm a giant fan of his writing and find his general stand-up solid, if not outstanding. This wasn't as good as he can be, but you have to laud the effort.

Deftly (and quite obviously) strikes a balance between dramatic storytelling and punchy one-liners.

He's pushing the format every time he gets on stage, and it works enough for a recommendation.
