I still randomly just want to watch the show for the theme song

Long-running TV dramas will always have ups and downs, as does Northern Exposure, but more often than any other show it has reached the levels of great literature.

It's not often that the main character is the least likable, it's a true ensemble.

Acting was phenomenal, especially by Geary, Morrow, Turner, and Burrows. Seen through season 6.

Charming in a casual way. The central cast really tied the town together. A few insufferable characters (Adam, Eve, Mike, Walt..), and lacking a sensible conclusion, but besides that it's a good little while in Cicely.

I guess I was too young to watch, as I quickly got bored of the relationship angle of the show. Maybe it's worth re-watching as an adult

A serviceable enough show, there just isn't much going for it after the initial eccentricity wears off.

[distant] As a boy I remember liking the early ones, had no idea it ran so long, may give this another chance.
