Sterling K. Brown is a phenomenal actor and this gives him a vehicle to truly relay that to audiences around the world. The worry for this one which was easily quelled was whether the story would be deep enough to carry through. It easily was and they set up enough elements for the second season and beyond to make you invest in whatever this story will choose to do.

I enjoy me some post apocalyptic slop, and this one is pretty sloppy. Its got a pretty good cast, no real issues there. Some fun world building and backstory. The real issue is once it gets going it relies way too much on gotchas and forced complicated conspiracy. You could do a lot worse if you like the genre but it probably won't stick with you a long time.

Interesting start but as usual, sags like a camel carrying the Burj Khalifa on its back in the middle, and eventually bombing completely by tacky collages, needle drops and increasingly rather unlikely plot twists. Julianne Nicholson is a pretty great actress though. And the theme song, remarkably catchy for the midi mockup slop it essentially is!
