Prehistoric Planet

Very well made, straight forward documentary. Astonishing CGI, exciting narration with movielike storytelling and music.

You’re telling me all this time the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park were inaccurate? This is an outrage! If you love Dinosaurs and Nature Documentaries, then this is for you. Pretty much what I was expecting, good but nothing mindblowing. Amazing visuals and special effects to say the very least.

okay i've seen barney give me a break

I like dinosaurs, and the CGI looks incredible. That's what drew me to watch this, and indeed it did deliver on incredible visuals, and cool dinosaurs, but honestly... I was bored out of my mind watching this. As much as I like dinosaurs, I guess this just isn't the kind of documentary style for me. I do give it points for the visuals though.

Nice special effects.

While this has the high production values of all the BBC Nature docs, Prehistoric Planet requires an inconsistent level of suspension of disbelief due to the photorealistic animation being at times drop-dead gorgeous and others just pretty good. I'm glad that this got made, though, and it suits the purpose of demo footage just fine.

A well made (and fun idea) straight presentation as if dinosaurs were being filmed for a nature documentary. It's not up to par with the best of the BBC (Planet Earth, Life, etc.) but I could watch Attenborough describe paint drying.
